In 2012 I was once again lucky enough to be able to attend a class with Larry Elmore. I took my first Elmore class in 2010, and I went up a couple of levels in painting, and this time around I learned all new feats and gained another level at least.
Larry class is set up for people of all skills, and to keep himself from going crazy, he gives us all a drawing to start from. This may seem unhelpful for those who are already experienced in painting, but it cuts out a whole other section of teaching, composition. That is a week on its own. So if we all get the same drawing to start off with, Larry can concentrate on teaching us his exact painting techniques.
I just wanted to share my evolution of the painting from the 2012 class. First I will show of the finished piece, then you can follow the journey in the gallery below.
